GreenTech is a comprehensive solution that generates electricity from Solar panels and water from Air humidity with Smart irrigation system. a dashboard based on IOT technology that provides real-time and automated readings of temperature, humidity level and soil Moisture reading at all Greehouses at once. This provides smart irrigation with an early alert/notification system that triggers digital and physical actions if temperature, humidity or soil moisture reach the low or high predefined parameters. The early alert and notification help efficient use of water and electricity and maintain health of crops at the Greenhouse.

The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning is a government entity that is established to respond to the needs of the Bahraini society through their Aquacultural Department which aims to enhance Bahrain’s aquacultural life regarding fish farming. One of their responsibilities is to support the aqua life and enhance it by increasing the production rate of the different fish breeds in the hatchery. Currently, the Aquacultural Department is using a traditional way of using a thermometer to measure the temperature levels from the fish tanks which are then recorded manually on paper. Normally, citizens, residents and organizations need to issue proof of address certificates by visiting the Municipality affairs and Urban Planning (MUN). Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, municipality service center was forced to stop providing some services, which surfaced an urgent need for an alternative automated solution and one that is highly available, secure and easy to use. In response, the Innovation Center at Bahrain Polytechnic that is powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), and in partnership with the municipality has created an interactive Chabot that facilitates the issuance of proof of address certificates. Today at a Badminton match or competition, coaches face challenges to capture, monitor, and advise players in real-time on game progress, points, and player errors. In some cases, coaches have to attend to different players, playing simultaneously in adjacent courts. It becomes a real challenge to note their observations and rely on their memory to catch up with the player(s); advise them on what to correct, and win points from the opponent based on the analysis.

Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning launches the first satellite imaging system for green areas detection in partnership with AWS
The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning is a government body established to respond to the needs of the Bahraini society and enhance Bahrain’s economy by placing effective policies and regulations for urban planning. One of their responsibilities is planting and protecting trees in the streets of Bahrain and ensuring that all planted areas on sidewalks outside a private property, have been issued a permit and are well taken care of.
The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning has been struggling with identifying the non-permitted planted areas all around Bahrain and has attempted to carry out several plans of action to eliminate this problem. The current system is outdated, manpower exhaustive and cost and time consuming.
